STEERING COMMITTEE
- Dr. Aaron Astor is a professor of history at Maryville College. He specializes in Tennessee history.
- Dr. Michael Birdwell is a professor of history at Tennessee Technological University and is a leading expert on Tennessee’s own Alvin York.
- Dr. Beverly G. Bond is a professor of history at the University of Memphis. She focuses on African American History and on topics in Women and Gender Studies.
- Dr. Dewey A. Browder is Professor Emeritus of History at Austin Peay State University.
- Dr. Joe Filippo is a member of the Executive Board of the Arts and Heritage Development Council in Clarksville. He is also Professor Emeritus of Theatre at Austin Peay State University.
- Dr. Sheena Harris is Associate Professor of History and Coordinator of Africana Studies Program at West Virginia University. Her PhD is from University of Memphis in African American History.
- Dr. Ellen Kanervo is the Executive Director of the Arts and Heritage Development Council for the City of Clarksville. She is also Professor Emerita of Communications at Austin Peay State University.
- Frank Lott is the Executive Director of the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center in Clarksville, TN.
- Brad Martin is an architect and owner of an architectural firm in Clarksville. He too has a distinguished record managing history and cultural community projects.
- Robert Nichols is the former Executive Director of the Ft Campbell Historical Foundation and Wings of Liberty Museum, a Living Historian for the Colonial Period and a retired US Army Command Sergeant Major.
- Dr. John O’Brien is head of history programs at Ft Campbell and master of the Don F. Pratt Museum. He is an Ex-Officio Member of the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation.
- Nick Tooley is an Attorney at Law in Clarksville. He is also a history graduate from Austin Peay State University.

- Jimmy “Jody” Pigg is on the faculty of the Department of History and Philosophy at Austin Peay State University where he teaches Tennessee History. He is the Chair of The THOF Steering Committee.
- Joe Weber is the Director of the Woodward Library at Austin Peay State University. He is the Secretary Treasurer of The THOF Steering Committee
